You’re not broken. You’re just wired differently.
Therapy, support, and advocacy for neurodivergent minds.
ADHD. Autism. Burnout. Late diagnosis. Exhaustion from masking.
If you’re trying to make sense of your brain, your past, or the way life keeps stacking up -you’re in the right place.
Who I Work With
You don’t have to explain every little thing.
I specialise in working with neurodivergent adults, teens, and parents. ADHD is a particular focus, but I support all ND experiences – including the messy, complex, hard-to-articulate stuff.
- Lived experience with ADHD
- Neurodivergent-affirming
- No pressure to be ‘on’
- No CBT, no behaviourism, no pathologising

What I Offer
Practical support, not just “talking about your feelings.”
Therapy is just one part of what I do. I also offer ADHD-focused reports, advocacy, and help navigating systems that weren’t built with you in mind.
Services include:
- 1:1 Therapy (Adults & Teens)
- Parent Support
- Workplace & Educational Advocacy
- ADHD Reports & Applications
- In-person (Moray) or Online (Microsoft Teams)
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Honest. Warm. No bullshit.
Clients tell me it’s a relief to just… be. You can show up in pyjamas, say “I don’t know” a hundred times, and still be making progress. I won’t coddle you, but I won’t shame you either. We’ll figure it out together.
E – I genuinely can’t find the right words to explain how much I have benefited from Angela’s knowledge, friendliness and enthusiasm for her profession. I was diagnosed with ADHD last year and have been on a journey of acceptance and understanding. Angela has supported me emotionally but also practically to understand why I am the way I am – which has hugely affected my mental health in a positive way. Compared to most counsellors and therapists, Angela is very reasonably priced, and provides a very caring and detailed service. Her set up is homely and cosy and completely non-judgmental. I can’t thank her enough for the positive changes she has helped me to make. I’ll definitely be staying in touch
J – Speaking and sharing with Angela has and continues to be a positively life affirming, life changing experience. She has helped me to understand the differences between neurodivergent and neurotypical brains and how this impacts daily life. I now feel much more validated, confident and self-assured to embrace my neurodivergent authentic self and am all the happier for it. If anyone reading this is swithering to book a session with Angela, do it!!! It’s been one of the best things I I’ve ever done
E – Angela is an absolutely incredible therapist – she has such a strong understanding of neurodiverse issues and ways of thinking, and really helped reassure me through challenging times. She’s easily reachable, quick to reply, entirely LGBTQIA+ friendly, and provides remote sessions so that comfy sessions can be done at home.
D – I found Angela at a very low point in my life and she truly helped me. Her compassionate listening and the way she was able to resonate with what I was experiencing helped me know I was not alone in my thoughts. I do not know if I would be here today in the place I am without her help andadvice. If you are in any doubt at all about therapy, give it one session. Just see how it goes.
P – I cannot thank you enough for your unconditional acceptance. You took my hand and helped me see clearly again.
W – Thank you for your kindness, Angela. You held a space for me when I couldn’t even lift my head to live. I’ll always be grateful.
FAQs
Please message me if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Therapy provides additional support for life’s challenges. It could be depression, anxiety, grief or loss, you may have difficulties with relationships, work-related stress, feelings of overwhelm, anger and frustration, trauma related to abuse, domestic violence, bullying or any of life’s hurdles that we are faced with. Therapy offers a safe space to explore thoughts, feelings, and ideas. There’s no judgement here.
Therapy often involves the disclosure of sensitive and personal information, so confidentiality is paramount. In order to protect your right to privacy the things you disclose to me will remain confidential.
There are three instances in which I can break confidentiality however, but I will always endeavour to speak to you first:
1) Where you, the client gives consent and allows me to share information. I have a separate form for this.
2) Where I am compelled by a court of law.
3) Where the information is of such gravity that confidentiality cannot be maintained. This includes instances where I consider you or someone else to be in imminent danger from harm by you; in the event of divulging the intention of committing a crime, or act of terrorism.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, to find out if we’re a good fit and whether we feel we can work together. We talk about what brought you to therapy, about what’s going on if your life, your current mental and physical health, and what support you already have. First appointments are not a commitment to attend therapy. It has to work for both of us and for this reason, these sessions often run longer than an hour. There is no extra charge for this.
That’s a tricky question to answer because we don’t really know until we start to peel back the layers. Some clients have only a handful of sessions, others want and need more, and there are many factors at play. Ultimately you are in control of how long you attend sessions for.
I have a purpose built “workshop” at the rear of my home in Dallas. It is insulated and sound-proofed and access is down the side lane to the right of my cottage. For first appointments I’ll always meet you out front first.
If you need to reschedule an appointment or confirm details, you are welcome to send a text, however to ensure that I can provide the best support, therapy needs to take place within our scheduled sessions for the following reasons:
- Depth & Effectiveness – Therapy involves meaningful conversations, body language, and emotional cues that are essential for progress. These elements are lost in text-based communication.
- Confidentiality & Security – Text messages are not a secure or private platform for discussing sensitive issues. To protect your confidentiality, therapy is conducted in a secure, appropriate setting.
- Therapeutic Boundaries – Consistent, scheduled sessions allow us to explore your concerns thoroughly. Unstructured text communication does not provide the same level of professional support.
- Emotional Safety – Complex or distressing topics require real-time interaction, where I can provide immediate guidance and support. Texting may not allow for the necessary depth of response.
Up to 60 minutes:
£60 – £65
Concessions are available. Please ask for more information.
Payment is by bank transfer and details will be provided. I ask that payment is made at the time of booking.
Appointments last up to 60 minutes. Some clients feel that they need extra time to process and talk things through so, where space allows, longer sessions can sometimes be arranged. In reality, sessions are around 50 minutes in length with time either side for hellos/goodbyes.
I usually see clients on a weekly basis. Building trust is a huge part of our relationship, and your therapeutic process. Meeting weekly helps build trust and without trust our work together is not productive.
However long we work together I do regular check ins and reviews to ensure your needs are being met and that you’re on track and happy with how things are going.
Many therapists in private practice have a cancellation policy. Cancellations, particularly last minute ones have a big impact on my practice. I often have a waiting list too, so missed sessions impact not only my business, but someone waiting for an appointment. I may see you for an hour but before your appointment I’m reading, researching, preparing for you.
I ask that clients give me as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a session. Missed sessions and appointments cancelled within 48 hours however are charged at the full session rate and will be invoiced accordingly.
I am diagnosed ADHD. I understand what living with a brain that’s neuro-biologically different feels like. I offer support, structure and psycho-education to support you in the many areas of your life it can impact. I’ve worked with neurodiversity for over 20 years and have supported adults, teens, and their families during that time. I offer counselling and workshops to enable you to live your best life with a brain that seems determined to hijack daily life. Let me know in the contact form if you’re looking for ADHD specific support and we can work out a plan together.
Seeing a neurodivergent therapist can offer several unique benefits, especially for neurodivergent clients. These benefits include:
1. Enhanced Empathy and Understanding: A neurodivergent therapist may have personal experience with neurodivergence, allowing them to better understand and empathise with their clients’ experiences and challenges.
2. Improved Communication: Shared neurodivergence can lead to more effective communication, as the therapist may naturally understand the client’s communication style and needs.
3. Validation and Acceptance: Clients may feel more validated and accepted by a therapist who shares similar experiences and perspectives, which can create a safer and more supportive therapeutic environment.
4. Tailored Approaches: A neurodivergent therapist is likely to be familiar with diverse therapeutic approaches that accommodate neurodivergent thinking and learning styles, leading to more personalised and effective interventions.
5. Reduced Stigma: Working with a therapist who is also neurodivergent can help reduce feelings of stigma and isolation, as clients may feel that their experiences are better recognised and normalised.
6. Role Modelling: Seeing a neurodivergent therapist can provide clients with a positive role model, demonstrating that it is possible to thrive and succeed as a neurodivergent individual.
Overall, a neurodivergent therapist can create a therapeutic alliance based on mutual understanding, respect, and tailored support, which can significantly enhance the effectiveness of therapy for neurodivergent clients.
